Primary school pupils will lead a bear hunt as they continue their search for missing teddy Bubbles.
Bubbles, who is described as two feet tall, beige, with pink ears and feet, disappeared from a playhouse in the playing fields of Chorleywood Primary School, in Stag Lane, two weeks ago.
Since then, Reception class pupils have had a visit from a local police officer, who gave them ideas about ways they can try to find Bubbles.
They bought nails and paint during a trip to a local hardware store, to fix the playhouse and its missing window through which Bubbles was taken.
And the class of 21 four and five-year-olds also designed and put up 'missing' posters featuring their own drawings of the bear.
They have also been dressing up as police officers and turned part of their classroom into a police station.
Teacher Katie Beckman said Bubbles disappeared as the children were learning about the police in a topic entitled 'People who help us'.
She said: “It's turned into a big police investigation. They've taken it further than I was expecting. Next week we're going on a bear hunt to track him down.
“They love it. They're really enjoying it. They have no idea where he's gone but it's been really good for their learning.”
