An organisation which provides a selection of toys to children across Hertfordshire will have new teddy bears and dolls on offer thanks to a Leavesden supermarket.
The Leavesden Toy Library and Play Project, based in Leavesden Children’s Centre, High Road, will be presented with a donation of £500 from Tesco Express on Monday, October 11.
The group, which lends educational toys to parents with children aged from a few months to five years old, hope to purchase a selection of new items with the money to satisfy their members.
Supermarket manager Carl Aston will present the cheque at the store in Katherine Place, as part of a celebratory event to mark the revamp and reopening of the supermarket, which has been closed since October, 3.
For more information about the toy library call Emma Ashworth from the scheme on: 01923 484360 or 07738 985276.
