A head-on collision in Radlett resulted in five people being taken to hospital this afternoon.
Fire crews from Garston and Borehamwood, along with two police cars and four ambulances, attended the crash between a Ford Fiesta and a Vauxhall Corsa, in Shenley Hill, at 12.08pm.
One woman suffered a broken leg, another man was taken to hospital with head injuries and three more women suffered minor injuries.
It is currently unclear how the accident occurred but it is thought the wet roads were a contributing factor.
Blue watch commander at Garston Fire Station, Tony Smith, said: “We want to remind people that the weather conditions are getting wintery and we do ask that people reduce their speed and take extra care on the increasingly slippery roads.”
