Comedian Russell Brand is reported to have gatecrashed an Indian wedding while celebrating his stag party at The Grove hotel.
According to a national newspaper Brand, accompanied by fellow stars including Noel Gallagher, David Walliams and David Baddiel, had spent some of the weekend at the Watford-based hotel for his own pre-nuptial celebrations.
But according to reports, at about 11.30pm on Sunday, September 26, the star slipped away from his stag do and friends to spend half-an-hour at newly-married couple Pardeep Gill and groom Sumeet’s wedding reception.
Brand, who is set marry singer Katy Perry this year, is believed to have stolen the show as he danced around excitedly at the venue near Hempstead Road.
The actor, dressed in a black dinner jacket and black silk cravat, was seen hoisting a guest onto his shoulders, only to be lifted moments later onto the shoulders of several guests as he waved his arms around.
On Monday, Brand used his Twitter page to describe how much he had enjoyed the wedding reception.
Alongside a photograph of him being held aloft, he tweeted: "The Hindu Bobby Moore. A perfect stag do finale - they think it's all over - Hare Krishna."
However, in a separate tweet, he did wonder whether he might have overshadowed proceedings. He wrote: "It was amazing!!!! Will the bride forgive me."
Russell checked into the luxurious estate with his celebrity friends on Saturday, September 25 and during his stay reportedly enjoyed a number of trips into London.
Was it your wedding that Russell Brand gatecrashed? Or were you a guest at the reception?
