A 17-year-old girl was assaulted in Watford in the early hours of this morning.
The victim was approached from behind as she left Watford Metropolitan Line train station, in Cassiobury Park Avenue, shortly before 12.30am.
The victim screamed and the man, thought to be in his early 20s, ran off down the road.
He is described as a white male, about 5ft 8ins tall, with short hair. He was wearing an flat cap, a waist length brown jacket and dark trousers.
Detective Constable Veronica Reeve, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a young female which has understandably frightened the victim and left her shaken.
“We know there were people in the Shepherds Road and train station area at the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who was there may have seen or heard anything to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
