A barn fire was extinguished by firefighters from Watford, Garston and Borehamwood yesterday morning.
Crews were called to the blaze, at a farm in Butterfly Lane, Elstree, at about 10.40am and the fire was fully extinguished by about 12.15pm.
The barn, containing hay, was “well-alight” by the time firefighters arrived. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
The incident comes two months after a barn fire, in August, destroyed thousands of pounds worth of hay at Middle Farm, in Kings Langley.
