Elderly residents of a Chorleywood retirement community will be celebrating Older People's Day today.
This year's event is themed around getting and staying active in later life, and the residents of Cedars Village will be taking advantage of the communal groups and activities.
Colin Foulger, manager, said: “If someone is interested in learning a new skill the chances are there's someone else who would like to join them, suddenly there’s the basis of a club or class.
“Trying something different is not only a good way to make new friends but a useful tool to help stay active mentally.”
