People across Watford took part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning to raise money for a cancer charity.
About 1,000 coffee mornings were held throughout Hertfordshire last Friday as hosts attempted to raise a total of £169,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The total will not be known for a number of weeks, while the charity collects the thousands of donations but Ed Stevenson, of Macmillan, said the event was a fantastic success.
“We would like to thank everyone who took part and tucked away kilos of cakes and gallons of coffee for our cause.
“It was a great event, and once again the people of Watford got behind us whole-heartedly, helping us raise thousands of pounds to fund our services.”
