The Mayor of Hertsmere was joined by friends, family and guests at a Bushey synagogue for the council's annual civic service.
The traditional event was held for the first time at Bushey United Synagogue, in Sparrows Herne, and the service was conducted by the mayor's chaplain, Rabbi Meir Salasnik.
Guests of Bushey Park councillor Linda Silver included Hertsmere MP James Clappison, Hertfordshire Constabulary's Police Superintendent and the Sherriff of Hertfordshire and his wife.
The service featured performances from the Bushey United Choir, Hertsmere Jewish Primary School Choir and the Guard of Honour - Bushey United Jewish Lads' and Girls' Brigade.
A reception was also held at the close of the service on Sunday, September 26.
