Students from a Bushey college welcomed a famous television professor who officially opened a new state-of-the-art teaching block.
Lord Robert Winston, who presented BBC documentary Child Of Our Time, unveiled the new teaching block in front of dozens of students at Immanuel College, in Elstree Road.
The modern building features state-of-the-art computers and technology to assist the students work as well as sliding partitions in order that the shape and size of the rooms can be altered.
At the opening, on September 21, headteacher Philip Skelker said the building was “another important milestone in the school’s history”.
The block was built to allow space for a new preparatory school, which will open for Reception and Year 1 classes in September 2011.
