Aspiring artists are invited to pit their paintbrushes and palettes against one another for a new art competition.
Dacorum Borough Council has launched the art contest as part of Local Democracy Week.
Open to children and teenagers aged from eight to 13, entrants need to create an A4-sized artwork on the theme of “A Right to Vote.”
Participantswill be grouped by age (eight to ten-year-olds in one group, and 11 to 13-year-olds in another) and the best six entries in each group will win an invitation to meet Mike Penning MP at the Houses of Parliament on Thursday, October 14.
To qualify, all entries should include the name and age of the child, along with the name of the school that he or she attends.
•Entries should be sent to Claire Lynch, Neighbourhood Action Team, Dacorum Borough Council, Civic Centre, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1HH.
Closing date is Friday, October 8.
