A “wonderful, brave, caring and kind” football fan, grandfather and husband has died.
Watford FC super fan Steve Brister, founder of the Norfolk Hornets supporters club, passed away today at the age of 57.
He had been battling cancer. Friends, family members and fellow fans have started to post messages of condolence on an internet page constructed in his honour.
One mourner said: “I am so sorry that you have had to lose such a wonderful, brave, caring and kind man. Steve was always there to help me and BT [Brain Tumour] Buddies right to the end and I will never forget him.”
