The pub at the centre of last night’s Watford bomb scare will re-open as normal this morning.
The Flag, in Station Road, along with neighbouring Watford Junction railway station, was evacuated yesterday evening after a suspicious package was found in a toilet.
Army bomb disposal officers carried out a controlled explosion on the device, which was later confirmed to be a fake.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said this morning that it had completed its forensic investigation of the site and is now working to apprehend those responsible.
The pub will reopen at 11am.
