A father from Watford raised £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support after completing the Great North Run.
Lee Palmer, a sales manager from Cecil Street, was cheered on by Macmillan nurses as he completed the half marathon in 3hr 2m.
Lee, who lives with wife Louise and their two-year-old daughter Lily Belle, said: “I did have a few issues at ten miles when my legs decided to cramp up every two minutes but I staggered through to the end.
“The atmosphere was amazing and the Macmillan nurses were around the course for support.”
