There will be plenty to smile about this weekend when hundreds of people complete a sponsored one mile walk, jog or run around Cassiobury Park.
There is still time to sign up for the Smile Mile, which takes place at 10.30am on Sunday.
Sponsored by National Lottery operator Camelot UK, the event begins at the bandstand in Hempstead Road and heads into Cassiobury Park past the Peace Hospice, before returning to the start.
Money raised by the Smile Mile will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Arun Sharma, head of corporate fundraising at Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: “It’s going to be a fantastic day out and the money raised will allow more Marie Curie Nurses to provide free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in the comfort of their own homes.”
To take part, complete an entry form at www.everyoneactive.com/SmileMile/tabid/1135/Default.aspx, pick up an entry pack from the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall, from either of the two leisure centres – Watford Central or Woodside or from John Lewis.
