Family and friends of a much-loved Watford woman will gather at her bedside on Friday to celebrate her 100th birthday.
Lillian Lee, who lives at the River Court Nursing Home, in Explorer Drive, is described by her family as a bold and determined businesswoman who, during her long life, has run sweet shop, a dress shop and even a seaside bed and breakfast on the Isle of Wight.
Mrs Lee, one of seven children, had no children of her own but is adored by her nieces and nephews.
Great niece Tina Gray said: “She was a fantastic lady and would do anything for anyone. She was married to Tom for 45 years and they loved dancing. She just loved life.”
