An Army officer has raised more than £300 for a homeless charity in Watford by completing a marathon.
Sergeant Brian Mooney, who is based at the Army Careers Office in Queens Road, completed the Robin Hood Marathon in Nottinghamshire in four hours on Saturday, September 12.
The 38-year-old Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer took part in aid of Watford New Hope Trust, which provides support for homeless people across the town.
Mike Smith, trust CEO, said: “It is such a boost for us when local organisations support our work in this way.
“Sgt Mooney has achieved something remarkable both in terms of the amount he has raised and the time in which he completed the marathon.”
