On Sunday, Sainsbury’s Dome Roundabout organised a quiz night in aid of Watford Mencap. Six teams took part in the quiz at Watford Mencaps Children’s Centre and players also enjoyed a fish and chip supper and a raffle.
The teams were tested on a range of categories including films, sport and quotes and the evening managed to raise £165.
Sainsbury’s Dome Roundabout has chosen Watford Mencap as their charity of the year and will be organising a series of events throughout the year to raise money for and awareness of the charity. The money raised will go towards supporting Watford Mencaps Children’s Centre which provides a range of services for children with learning disabilities.
Najaf Shah, PR Ambassador at Sainsbury’s Dome Roundabout explained; “It was a great evening with a good turnout, we are proud to be supporting Watford Mencap Children’s Centre as our chosen charity of the year. We hope to arrange more fundraising events throughout the year to raise funds and awareness”
