Two burglars crept through the front window of a Bushey house during a “brazen” daylight raid, police have said.

The break-in happened at about 7.15pm, on Friday, September 17, in Bournehall Avenue, when two men were seen forcing their way in – before leaving empty handed when an alarm sounded.

Officers say the men were both white and in their early 20s.

The first is described as 5ft 6ins, with dark spiky hair. He was wearing a blue and white chequered shirt and blue jeans.

The second is described as 5ft 10ins tall, with light brown spiky hair. He was wearing a beige shirt and dark jeans.

PC Paul Francis is investigating and said: “These brazen offenders gained entry to the house in broad daylight through the front of the property. I would urge anyone who saw these offenders entering or leaving the property or walking around the local area to contact me.”

Anyone with information is asked should telephone 0845 33 00 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
