Four new homes could be built in a leafy Watford road if a new development plan is approved.
Developers have applied to Watford Borough Council to build the four detached family houses on a garden site at 16 Roughwood Close, near Hempstead Road.
Recent changes to planning rules have removed the brown field classification of garden sites – making development of such sites less likely.
Developer Matthew Homes Limited, however, already has planning permission for six homes on the site and will argue that, as a result, the land should now be classified as residential and the amended plans approved.
The application will be decided later in the year.
