A military engineer from Watford helped raise more than £300 for charity by taking on a marathon in Nottinghamshire.
Sargeant Brian Mooney, from the Watford Army Careers Office, in Queens Road, ran the 26-mile race in a staggering time of four hours flat.
The Royal Engineer raised the cash for the Watford New Hope Trust by taking on the Robin Hood Marathon, on Saturday, September 12.
Watford New Hope Trust CEO, Mike Smith, said: “It is such a boost for us when local organisations support our work in this way. Sgt Mooney has achieved something remarkable, both in terms of the amount he has raised and the time in which he completed the marathon.”
