A record number of runners have already entered next Sunday's Moor Park 10k.
On Wednesday organisers of the Stewarts Law Moor Park 10k and Junior Fun Runs said turnout was already rivalling last year's 800 runners, with a week still to go before the deadline.
This annual run is organised to raise money for the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre (LJMC), based at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
LJMC marketing manager, Buzz Coster, said: "We're really pleased with the response. Every penny that the runners raise will go directly towards the provision of our services.”
Online entry is open until Wednesday, but runners can still enter by downloading an entry form or in person on the day.
