A former hospital porter is facing years behind bars after he was convicted of raping and sexually assaulting a woman at Watford General Hospital.
Mohammed Khan, 35, of Trinity Hall Close, was found guilty at St Albans Crown Court of abusing the woman on repeat occasions between February and July 2008.
Khan, who had denied the charges, will be sentenced on June 22.
Detective Inspector Steve Keating, from the Sexual Offences Investigation Team (SOIT) at Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: “The fact that this investigation was reported late proved difficult but we have managed to put a case together and get the offender before a court.
“I hope this result will help other victims to come forward in the knowledge that we investigate these cases thoroughly.”
