Former Friends star Matt Le Blanc has visited Watford to film scenes for his new comedy show.
Episodes, a seven part series to be screened on BBC Two, is the story of happily married couple Sean and Beverly Lincoln who produced a hit British TV show called Lyman's Boys.
They are then persuaded to move to Los Angeles to remake it for the American market, with the writers behind the series, David Crane (Friends) and Jeffrey Klarik (Mad About You), promising disastrous results.
Le Blanc, who played Joey in ten series of Friends, is brought in to replace the lead actor, playing a “larger than life” version of himself.
Also appearing are Tamsin Greig (Green Wing), Mircea Monroe (Scrubs) and Richard Griffiths (Withnail and I).
The cast and crew pitched up outside the former Old Orleans restaurant, in Elton Way, Watford, where they filmed scenes for the series last Friday, May 28.
The restaurant has been unused since it closed last year and owners Punch Taverns put the premises up for sale.
Episodes, which is filming this week at Pinewood Studios, is being made by Hat Trick Productions for Showtime and the BBC, to be broadcast later this year.
