A FIRST edition copy of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, signed by author JK Rowling, is to be auctioned to raise money for the Peace Hospice.
JK Rowling has donated the rare edition of the novel in support of the hospice's work.
The book will be on the auction site, Ebay, next week for interested buyers to place their bids.
JK Rowling will also give a personalised letter of authenticity to the winner.
Tara Shaw, spokesperson for The Peace Hospice, said they are very excited about the auction.
She said: "Bids for a first edition Harry Potter currently on Ebay are up to $3,500 so we are hoping we will raise a lot of money for the hospice. JK Rowling contacted us through a third party to donate the book and she said she will be following the auction on Ebay."
