RESIDENTS in Croxley Green are up in arms about a proposal to build a 140-house development on an historic site.

Plans by Barratt Homes to put housing on the Old Merchant Taylors' (OMT) site in Lincoln Way were bitterly fought two years ago.

The developer has now submitted a new application, and the plans will be available for viewing at a public exhibition this Friday and Saturday.

The application is for 130 homes, provision of sports and recreation facilities, and the conversion of an existing clubhouse and changing room building into 19 flats and seven houses.

The plans will be on show at Old Merchant Taylors sports ground in Lincoln Way, between 4pm and 7pm on Friday, and 10am until 12.30pm on Saturday.

Anyone wishing to comment on the plans can write to the Planning Department, Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, WD3 1RL.The deadline for representations is Friday, October 28.
