A NEW development of 14 flats and ten houses was given the green light at a council meeting on Wednesday.
Developer Kings Oak North London won the right to demolish existing buildings on land in Langley Road, at a meeting of Watford Borough Council's planning committee. The company is planning to build two-bedroom flats, three-bedroom houses and a four-bedroom house on the site, with access from Grandfield Road.
Councillors raised concerns about the fact that some of the dwellings only have one allocated parking space under the plans. A council officer confirmed this is the case, but pointed out that it did not constitute a reason for refusing planning permission.
