MIKE FORD feels Saracens are on "the right track", despite losing three of their first four games.
"It's been disappointing in terms of wins but very positive in terms of the style of football we have been playing," said the head coach.
"You look at the win-loss column for the first team at the moment and you think oh my god', but there are plenty of positives, we are on the right track and the club is in a healthy state. I can see where we are going to end up and what we have been working on in training is starting to come to fruition.
"With a bit more luck and composure we could have been right up there at the minute. But we are not too worried as we understand the nature of the competition is to finish in the top four.
"I'm a positive person. You can judge how strong a team is by looking at their bench and we've got that. I also know we have got some world-class players to come back into the side and I also look at what's happening with the second team at the moment.
"There is real competition for places with the likes of Adam Powell coming through and the second team have won two and lost the other by a point. The club has not achieved two wins in succession for nearly two years."
