AMATEUR collectors are being encouraged to dust off their trinkets, dig up their collectables and discover just what their much-loved pieces are worth.
An antiques valuation day will be held at Royal Masonic School for Girls, Rickmansworth, on Sunday.
Expert valuers from Sotheby's and Bonham's will be sharing their knowledge with the general public from 11am to 4pm.
There is no charge for admission, but there is £5 for first item valued and £3 for each additional item.
The money raised will go directly to help the hospice care for terminally-ill patients and their families from South West Hertfordshire.
And people who wish to show further support for the hospice will also be able to donate a special item, in aid of World Hospice Day.
There will be a drop-off point on the day, so people can leave items they wish to donate.
For more information, telephone 01923 330 340.
