MOBILE phones, cash and credit cards were stolen from four cars in Rickmansworth within a two hour period on Tuesday.
The thefts, believed to be linked, have prompted police to remind motorists not to leave valuables in their cars.
All four incidents took place between 8pm and 10pm.
In the first incident, a window of a silver Volkswagen Golf parked at the Royal Masonic School, Rickmansworth Park, was smashed.
A Nokia mobile phone, an i-Pod and a purse containing a small amount of cash, various credit and debit cards and a driving licence were all taken.
Meanwhile the window of another car parked at the school was also smashed. A mobile phone, purse, credit cards and driving licence were taken from the blue Peugeot 307.
The passenger side window of a black sports car, in Rickmansworth Park, was also smashed and a Nokia mobile phone taken.
A silver Skoda Fabia, parked at the Scotsbridge Mill, Scotsmill Lane, Rickmansworth, was also damaged and an empty lap top case that had been left on display on the rear seat was taken.
