THE application for a widely opposed lorry park in Hunton Bridge has been refused.
Local residents and councillors were united in their opposition to the plans for a 20-vehicle lorry depot in Old Mill Lane.
The application was made by Highways Surfacing, a road resurfacing company based in Carshalton, Surrey.
At a meeting of Three Rivers District Council's development control committee chairman, Sara Bedford, said: "It is totally inappropriate in this Green Belt setting."
