TWO men were hit over the head with a metal torch by a black cab driver after a disagreement about fares on Sunday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault, which took place at around 3.10am on Rickmansworth Road near the taxi rank at the top of Watford High Street.
During the altercation, the offender struck both victims over the head with a Maglite torch and then made off in his vehicle.
The two men, both 20 from Hemel Hempstead, sustained minor head injuries.
A spokesman for the police said that the offender also smashed the rear window of his cab during the attack.
The offender is described as an Asian man with short black hair and a large nose.
