A PICTURESQUE walk in the park has raised £6,000 for the Marie Curie Nursing Service in Hertfordshire.
The money was raised by 54 walkers stepping out on Sunday, in the Devoted to Life sponsored walk.
They began by walking seven or nine miles through the grounds of Hunton Park, before going along the Grand Union Canal and through Cassiobury Park.
Some were walking in memory of a loved one, while others just wanted to make a difference to the lives of people living with cancer and their families.
Jenny Greenaway was walking with her sister, two sons and their girlfriends, in memory of her mum, Mary Cross, who was looked after by a Marie Curie nurse earlier this year.
Jenny said: "It was lovely being able to take part as a family and we had a lot of laughs along the way.
"It was our way of giving something back to Marie Curie Cancer Care, who were fantastic when they looked after mum earlier this year. It was a brilliant day and we'll definitely be back next year".
The annual walk is part of a series taking place across the UK in the summer and autumn.
