THE body of a Loudwater hairdresser, allegedly strangled by her husband, was discovered in the boot of his BMW at a French hotel on Tuesday.
Christine Symmons, 59, of Timbertops, Lower Plantation, was found in the boot of her husband Derek's car by french police in Macon, near Lyon.
Mrs Symmons lectured part-time at West Herts College. Her husband Derek is a semi-retired engineer in the petrochemical trade.
It is thought Mr Symmons strangled his wife at their £1.5million home, and then headed to France, where he had friends, with her body in the boot of his car.
