A GENTLE late summer stroll through picturesque countryside could help raise vital cash for a hospice based at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood.
A sponsored walk will be held on Sunday, September 25, to raise funds for Michael Sobell House, which provides care for patients who are terminally ill and support for their families.
The hospice aims to raise £25,000 on the day.
Pam Parkhurst, fundraising manager, said: "Entrants have a choice of walking three, seven or 12 miles through beautiful local countryside.
"The walk starts and finishes at Michael Sobell house, passing through Moor Park, Rickmansworth, then along the canal towpath through to Harefield and Denham.
"Water stations are set up along the route."
Every walker who takes part will receive a certificate of achievement, and a picnic in the garden of Michael Sobell House.
