A SPATE of burglaries in Rickmansworth are thought to be connected, police said this week.

Three houses, two in Highfield Way and one in Beacon Way, were burgled between Tuesday, August 30, and last Sunday.

Between 9.30am on Saturday and 11.40am the following day, burglars entered a house in Highfield Way through the back door.

After searching the rooms, they forced open a safe and took various items of jewellery, before using keys to leave through the front door.

The house in Beacon Way was broken into between Tuesday, August 30, and last Sunday. The rear patio doors were forced open and a search was made of the master bedroom.

Finally, sometime between last Saturday and Sunday, a burglary took place, again in Highfield Way.

The thieves again conducted an untidy search of downstairs cupboards and upstairs bedrooms.

Various items of jewellery were stolen, including a luxury watch and about 25 DVDs.
