A CROXLEY GREEN councillor laced up his walking boots last week and raised £1,500 for charity.
Chris Lloyd, Three Rivers District Councillor for Croxley Green North, embarked on the mission to climb Ben Lomond with his son, James, last Thursday.
Standing at more than 3,000 feet, the mountain, which overlooks Loch Lomond, is said to take an average of three hours to climb, but Councillor Lloyd and his son completed it in two.
The pair undertook the challenge to raise money for Tearfund, a charity helping people suffering the crisis in Niger.
