WITH A-level results due to be released next week, the University of Hertfordshire has set up a clearing hotline.
Results day, which will take place on Thursday, August 18, is an emotional day whatever the outcome.
But with a growing number of students not receiving their predicted grades, the emotions and nerves are heightened as plans for their future may be put on hold.
The University of Hertfordshire's hotline will be open from results day, for all students to call to see if they can still be offered a university place.
Last year the hotline received more than 7,000 calls on its opening day, and is preparing for a similar number of calls this year.
For students who have not achieved their desired grades, there are a number of options available.
All staff at the hotline are trained in advance of results day to give students the best advice and support during the difficult period.
For advice after receiving A-level grades telephone 01707 2848484. Lines open Thursday, August 18.
