WHEN her numbers came up, 37-year-old housewife Maggie Cassidy from Abbots Langley did not hesitate to share her £94,000 jackpot win with her bingo partner.
Maggie, who has been playing bingo since she was 18, scooped the National Bingo Game's top prize by completing a full house at bingo with 39 numbers.
And she immediately fulfilled a long-standing agreement to share any winnings with her friend Mrs Karen Panks, 33, who also lives in Abbots Langley. Karen will get £47,000, her half of the money
Mrs Cassidy, who has a daughter Tracy, 18, and a 15-year-old son Mark, said: "I was waiting for number 62 and when I got it, everybody erupted around me. I just sat there, it was fantastic.
"I was in shock, utter disbelief. Karen was dumbstruck. We were both absolutely delighted and excited.
"But the excitement has worn off now and I'm waiting for the cheque.
"Karen and I have always agreed to split anything whenever we won. If we have won £5 in the past we have shared it and we split £600 which we won about three years ago."
Maggie, who went to St Michael's School in Garston and moved to Abbots Langley 18 years ago, said she would use the windfall to pay off the mortgage on her council property in Abbots Langley, upgrade her car and go on a family holiday later this year.
She said Karen, who has two children aged six and eight, also planned to buy her house and build a loft extension.
Mrs Cassidy scooped the cash when playing at the Ritz Bingo Club in Borehamwood on January 13.
