THE Radlett Music Club welcomes a popular young string trio for its fourth concert of the season.
The Leopold String Trio, who in 1995 was the first string trio to be selected for representation by the Young Concert Artists Trust, will perform at the Radlett Centre, Watling Street.
Violinist Marianne Thorsen, Sarah-Jane Bradley on viola and cellist Kate Gould formed the trio in 1991 at the Royal Academy of Music.
As well as touring throughout South America, Norway, Turkey, Germany and Belgium, the trio has broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
Future plans include recitals at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room and Conway Hall, followed by a tour of Switzerland.
Marianne, the violinist, is making a return visit to the Radlett Music Club after appearing in the 1987/88 season with three other talented local young musicians. The trio will play pieces by Schubert, Borodin, William Alwyn and Beethoven.
Tickets to the concert on Wednesday, February 11, at 8.15pm, cost £9 for adults and £7 concessions and are available from the box office on 01923 859291.
