TWO robbers threatened a shop manager and stole more than £100 from the till in a raid on a Redbourn off licence on Sunday.
One of the offenders wielded a sharp weapon at the manager of Unwins in the High Street, before grabbing the cash and a handful of sweets.
Police have launched a hunt for the two suspects, both described as white males about, five feet ten in height.
They entered the shop at 7.10pm and asked for cigarettes. The manager turned to get a packet and when he looked back, one of the offenders was behind the counter threatening him and demanding he opened the till.
He did so and the pair made off with £104 in cash, the cigarettes and a clutch of sweets.
One of the offenders was aged around 40, scruffily dressed with a red and white scarf covering his face.
Witnesses with any information can call Detecetive Constable Craig Berry on 01727 796000.
