A group of travellers were evicted from a site in Borehamwood earlier this week.
They were among dozens of travellers moved from three sites in Borehamwood and South Mimms on Tuesday morning.
Hertsmere police officers, using their powers under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act, helped the landowner to move about 20 caravans from the site at Marconi Security Systems, in Elstree Way, Borehamwood.
No court order was needed to evict the travellers from the private land because of police powers under the act.
Earlier the same day, at about 8am, Hertsmere officers helped with an operation to move travellers from a desiganted traveller site in South Mimms, provided by Hertfordsire County Council, because it was in need of cleaning.
Police helped enforce a high court order, obtained for the removal of the travellers from the St Albans Road site, which is to be closed for the clean-up period.
St Albans Road was temporarily closed on Tuesday, while the travellers in dozens of caravans, were believed to have headed north.
Another eviction also took place in South Mimms later the same morning, when police, again using powers under the act meaning no court order was necessary, helped remove 20 caravans from the private-land car park at South Mimms Service Station, near the M25.
