May I request that when the local authority makes educational decisions which are based on budgetary and political whim, and the press reports these actions, that both parties spare a thought for the feelings of the children, staff and parents of the schools concerned.
I find it strange that when The Ravenscroft School constantly sends press releases, which contain accounts of our children's achievements, good deeds, guest visits, lively debates, drama productions etc, we are always told 'sorry, no room ,, can't get a photographer'.
Amazing then that the press can always find most of the front page to emblazon negativity on. How do you think this makes our children, staff and parents feel when they know all the hard work that takes place at our school?
It is your job to report news, of course, but is it possible that you could redress the imbalance and find room to print more of the excellent information you receive from us just as you do for the other schools in Barnet? Our children deserve that.
Give the vast majority of our children the chance they deserve ,, to see their school being portrayed in a positive light for a change.
Let them see the pictures and reports of their school that give a fairer reflection of what takes place. Give them a chance to feel proud.
