THE form of title-hope Geoff McCreesh has been described as 'awesome' in the week leading up to Saturday's IBO world title fight.
The former British welterweight has returned from training in Tenerife where he has been in the ring doing pad work and shadow boxing. He has also been training at altitude on Mount Tiede, which is 3,500km above sea level.
Thirty-year-old McCreesh faces American-based Adrian Stone on the undercard of Lennox Lewis's world heavyweight defence at Docklands Arena, London.
'Geoff is feeling good and very focused on the job in hand,' said Junction Five trainer Ricky English, who has been working with McCreesh at the gym in the Lincolnsfield Centre, Bushey.
'I am pleased with Geoff's form and fitness and highly confident for Saturday's world title fight. I've never seen a fighter so focused.'
