RICKMANSWORTH racer Richard Blue maintained his recent run of strong form in the PTP Autosport Caterham Superlight Challenge when he collected a sixth-place finish at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire.
Blue, 36, had qualified his EBF-backed car in sixth place on the grid and was among the top five runners throughout the race.
'I am reasonably pleased, but I felt we could have done better,' said Blue. 'The car was suffering from fuel surge problems.'
His result went some way towards making up for Saturday's disappointment, when electrical problems sidelined his car after he had made a strong start from second on the grid and had challenged for the lead.
Blue hold eighth place in the championship with 86 points.
