In this borough we need money to be spent on police to be seen on the streets ,, and this is not happening.
Hendon Police Station has closed. Finchley Police Station is to close for refurbishment and I suspect Golders Green Police Station will close in due course.
It is necessary for this wide area to depend on Colindale Police Station. Golders Green Police Station was built more than 50 years ago and has had a vast sum of money spent on refurbishing. It is now a one-manned police station ,, open until 6pm. All enquiries are thereafter dealt with by Colindale.
More police have been promised after the big reduction in the past three years ,, where are they going to be housed if all the stations are closed? Is all policing to be done by camera, helicopters and the computer? This is a true gift for the criminal element
