WITH MPs due to vote on a ban on fox hunting, my friends and I are really pleased that our local MP Bill Rammell has promised to vote for a complete ban.
This is what I and most young people in Harlow want to see.
I cannot believe that Conservative MPs helped to block a ban on hunting two years ago, and now the local Conservative Party chairman, Simon Carter (Letters, July 19), can only complain about whether Scottish MPs will be voting or not.
The only thing that is important is that Parliament bans this cruel activity.
I hope that Mr Carter's silence on this matter does not mean that Conservative MPs will again vote against a hunting ban.
