Old Haberdashers travelled to Wheathampstead II last Saturday in a Herts Cricket League Division Four encounter. Hosts Wheathampstead put on 195-6 while Old Habs finished on 176.
In division nine Old Habs II visited Old Owens II. Habs totalled 136-9 and Owens called it a day on 135-9.
Haberdashers' division nine neighbours Elstree II were away to County Hall II at the weekend. County posted 187 to Elstree's 81-7.
Meanwhile, in division seven, Elstree's topsy turvy season continued when they found themselves 124 all out against Hatch End who posted 125-4.
Having won the toss Elstree elected to bat first and despite a steady run rate they lost their first wicket in the eighth over.
Elstree's top scorer was Bob Small, who stepped into the breach after the wicket fell, to notch a sparkling 38 runs.
When it was their turn to field Elstree never gave up the ghost as demonstrated by tight bowling from skipper Graham Cane (2-19) and Gary Watson (2-21). Though their dreams were dashed when Hatch End's Jones totalled a solid 47no to clinch victory.
