Anthony Whiteman, of who has achieved the Olympic qualifying time for the 1500m, got in some useful speed work when winning the 800m in 1min 47.81secs in the British Grand Prix series at Watford.
He was chased home by his Shaftesbury Barnet club colleague Justin Swift-Smith, second in 1min 49.25secs.
Shaftesbury's Jo Newcombe was 12th in the 10,000m championship race in a personal best of 35mins 21.9secs
Nick Nieland, who sustained two cracked ribs in a training mishap, was back in action for England in the Malcup IAF Permit Meeting in Budapest. He was second in the javelin with 80.20m, behind Australian A Hatcher (81.60), and is still chasing the Olympic qualifying distance of 82m.
Windsor's Michelle Griffith, who lives in Edgware, was second in the triple jump with 13.64m, and Shaftesbury's Connie Henry was fifth (13.31m). Also fifth was Shaftesbury's Lyn Sprules, with 63.34m in the hammer.

Harriers Abi Oyepitan scored a fine 100m win in 11.58secs for Britain against France and Germany in the Norwich Union U23 International at Liverpool on Saturday.
Shaftesbury's David Parker was second in the javelin (72.84m) and Robert Mitchell was third in the high jump in 2.14m. Also third was Shaftesbury's Julie Dunkley with 15.96m in the shot while Graeme Allan was fifth (53.44m) in the hammer.
