A Borehamwood man has been disqualified from acting as a company director for three years after his car-hire business collapsed with debts totalling £71,898.
Steven Hearn, of Furzehill Road, was a director of Davara Ltd, which traded as Levelride (London) from Shenley Road until it went into voluntary liquidation in April 1998.
The High Court heard this month that Mr Hearn failed to make payments to Government departments and instead kept the money he owed to keep his business in operation.
Mr Hearn, who was also banned from taking any part in company management for three years, had failed to maintain, preserve and deliver adequate accounting records.
